Unleash Your Musical Potential

The Importance of Music Lessons at Brusubardis Academy of Music

Music is more than just an art—it’s a powerful tool for personal growth, cognitive development, and emotional expression. At Brusubardis Academy of Music, we believe that learning to play an instrument or developing vocal skills fosters creativity, discipline, and confidence. Studies show that music education enhances memory, improves academic performance, and strengthens problem-solving abilities.

Beyond the intellectual benefits, music lessons provide a sense of joy and fulfillment, allowing students to explore their unique talents while building perseverance and self-expression. Whether a beginner or an advanced musician, personalized instruction at Brusubardis Academy of Music helps students unlock their full potential and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

Join us in the journey of musical discovery—because every great artist starts with a single note!

Private music lessons provide personalized instruction tailored to a student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals. Unlike group lessons, private instruction allows for focused attention, ensuring that students develop proper technique, build a strong foundation, and progress at their own pace.

One-on-one lessons also foster greater confidence, as students receive immediate feedback and encouragement. This personalized approach helps refine skills, correct mistakes early, and deepen musical understanding. Additionally, private lessons offer flexibility in lesson plans, allowing students to explore different musical styles and interests while staying motivated and engaged.

With the dedicated guidance of an experienced instructor, private music lessons accelerate progress, build discipline, and cultivate a lifelong love for music.

When committing to private music lessons, families should consider the following factors:

1. Time Commitment

  • Regular lessons require a consistent schedule, usually weekly.

  • Daily practice is essential for progress, so families should set aside practice time at home.

2. Financial Investment

  • Private lessons come with costs, including tuition, books, and possibly an instrument purchase or rental.

  • Additional expenses may include accessories (e.g., notebooks, pencils, etc.) and participation in recitals or competitions.

3. Instrument Availability

  • The child will need access to a quality instrument for practice.

  • Some instruments require maintenance (e.g., tuning for pianos).

4. Readiness and Interest

  • The child should show an interest in learning music and be mature enough to follow instructions.

  • A willingness to practice regularly is key to making progress.

5. Long-Term Commitment

  • Learning an instrument is a journey that requires patience and perseverance.

  • Progress may be slow at times, but commitment over months or years leads to the best results.

By carefully considering these factors, families can ensure a positive and successful experience at the Brusubardis Academy of Music.

At the beginning of each month, students will be provided a studio schedule including scheduled holidays/closures.
Each student is to arrive promptly to each lesson with all necessary materials, i.e. music, lesson books, assignment notebook, etc.
If students are late to their lesson, it will still end at the scheduled time.
Students are expected to maintain a regular practice schedule between lessons. Progress is made only when students practice every day.  The amount of expected practice will vary depending on the skill level of the student.
Parents are welcome to be in the lesson, but please turn off all cell phones while in a lesson.

Missed Lessons:

For missed lessons, please notify the teacher at least 24 hours prior to the lesson if you are able.

No refunds shall be given for missed lessons for any reason.
In the unlikely event, the teacher misses a lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled.

A 30 Day notice is required for student withdrawal from lessons.

Please note:  If a student needs to suspend their private lessons for any length of time, we hope you understand that we will need to fill the student's spot.  We can put the student's name on our waiting list and will try to accommodate your return to lessons when a spot opens up in the future.
